USPAP Advisory Opinion #16 is reviewed by (1) examining the Appraisal Report Content issue, (2) the background of conclusions in light of fair housing laws, (3) advice from the Appraisal Standards Board by examining relevant USPAP references, appraisal report content and competency. The 1988 Fair Housing Amendment Act is presented in detail, with special emphasis on disability, and familial status discrimination.
